Urban Hitters Collective · The cultural home of golfGOLF. CULTURE. COMMUNITY.

There’s morethan one wayinto golf.

The Saturday round at the club. Nine holes before work. A simulator in the city, a bucket of balls with friends, a golf cap you wore long before you had a handicap. It’s all part of golf – and there’s no single way to belong. Urban Hitters Collective is where those worlds meet. We call it Culture on Course – bringing people together through golf events, our podcast and our video series.

01 / WHO WE ARE

A collective
rooted in
culture.

On the course. Off the script.HTRS / COLLECTIVE

We are HTRS. We come from creative agencies and the world of advertising, with deep roots in culture. We are raised by the codes of hip-hop, streetwear, sport, entertainment and design. We’ve filmed hip-hop documentaries around the world, met artists and creatives across subcultures, published magazines covering Paralympic sport, and produced videos and campaigns for hundreds of brands. Then golf culture got us. Properly.

The swing is only half of it. Seven in the morning, fog on the first fairway, someone’s brought coffee. The silence before a putt. Then there’s the other side: the music, the energy, the opening drive that flies into the bushes – and the whole group laughing, including the person who hit it. Search, swear, laugh, play on.

The cultural home of golf

We love the game: the rules, the etiquette, the competition. We’re just a little more relaxed about the dress code – and determined to help shape golf’s future for the next generation. So when we call ourselves the cultural home of golf, we don’t mean a building. We mean a shared culture that brings people together – on the course, in your headphones, on your screen and at the clubhouse afterwards. It’s in the music you listen to, the clothes you wear and the vibe you bring to the course.

02 / OUR FORMATS

Golf podcasts,

Swipe to explore the formats

A tour pro and a hip-hop journalist walk into a podcast. Marcel Siem and Niko Backspin bring two different perspectives to the same game – talking golf, culture and life beyond the fairway. Sometimes critical, often thoughtful, rarely quiet.

18 guests. 18 perspectives. 18 minutes.

A special series plays out like a round of golf: 18 guests, 18 perspectives and exactly 18 minutes per conversation. Fashion, music, community, advertising, sustainability – every conversation opens up another way of looking at the game.

Listen on Spotify

We play a round with someone interesting and keep the camera rolling. Deep Drive is about what happens between the shots: how people found golf, what pressure feels like and what keeps bringing them back.

Meet the guests

Our guests have included Revolverheld frontman Johannes Strate, former Bundesliga footballer Martin Harnik, golfer and creator Laura Kowohl, former basketball player Per Günther, actor Jan Hartmann, OMR’s Simon Schumacher and TV presenter Jessica Schöne.

golf tournaments with a cultural twist

The competition matters. So does what happens around it: a DJ, the right vibe, a seriously good BBQ and a celebration for whoever finishes last – all at a golf club that sees itself as a home for its community.

More than the final putt

Our golf tournaments connect the game with the creative communities of the places where we play, bringing new faces, local culture and creativity to the course – with conversations that carry on after the final putt.

03 / WORK WITH US

Work with
Urban Hitters
Collective.

Everything we do starts with a good conversation. On the course or off it. Here’s where yours could go.

01BrandsJoin the game

Golf fans know when they’re being sold to. What works is a brand that brings something real – access, craft, a product with a story or a point of view. We build that with you through golf content, experiences and collaborations our community wants to be part of. Our contributors keep their own voices.

Let’s talk brand partnerships
  • Stories and content created together, within or alongside our formats
  • Golf events with a cultural programme
  • A stronger brand story around your golf sponsorship
  • Collaborations across fashion, music and design that introduce new audiences to golf

02Golf clubsYour course, new faces

You’ve got the course, the clubhouse, the members and your own history. We bring a fresh creative approach – and a crowd from music, fashion and sport that wants to play. 9bfr9 at Gut Kaden and Hypezig72 at GolfPark Leipzig show what that can look like.

Talk to us about your club

Ideas we’d love to explore with you:

  • A range night with music, good food and a warm welcome for newcomers
  • An introduction to golf for people who arrive as a crew
  • A golf day, a round or a film at your course

Every collaboration starts with your club and the people you want to welcome. We build it together.

For Creators
04 / HOW WE DO GOLF

Culture
on Course.

Culture on Course is how we run golf and our formats – and the idea behind everything we do. Here’s what it means in practice.

01One door opens the next

Someone discovers golf through a brand, tries a simulator, builds confidence and books their first round. A crew finds its way to a clubhouse. That’s really cool, isn’t it? A creator introduces their audience to a club pro. Every way into golf can lead to another – we build the connections between them.

02Golf has codes. So does culture.

Golf is culture. And like hip-hop, sneaker culture and gaming, it has its own codes. Some are brilliant: the handicap system makes a competitive match possible between golfers of different abilities, while etiquette helps a group share a round without a referee. We explain the essentials before the first tee, so newcomers can feel confident from the start.

03Crew first, golf club later

Plenty of people find their crew before they find their club. We bring people together and partner with golf clubs that welcome new faces on the range – building a community people want to come back to, round after round.

04Characters wanted

Golf has rivalries, comebacks, chaos on the 18th and some great characters. We give them room to tell their stories – ideally somewhere between tee and green.

05 / COME SAY HELLO

This is more than
a place to play.
A place to belong.

That’s what we want golf to be for more people. Put on the podcast, join us for 9bfr9 – or tell us what we could build together. Bring your friends. Bring good energy. We’ll see you out there.
